Above pricing is based on the Shelby Accessory Price List 1967 tri-fold, effective November 1, 1966. Other options and accessories were initially planned and can be gleaned from the first Color and Accessory Guide.

1. Body Style
The initial November 1966 price schedule did not include prices for other body styles, including the convertible, planned as a 1967-1/2 introduction. Using the Ford Mustang Sales Guide to calculate the difference from the fastback 2+2, the Shelby convertible should have been priced at +$126.59 more than the fastback. (+105.97 for the body style, +$52.95 power top, +$32.44 glass backlite, -64.77 for no sportdeck). Had the optional coupe been produced, it should have been $121.72 less than the fastback (-131.71 for the body style, +$74.76 for a vinyl roof, -64.77 for no sportdeck).

2. Mandatory Options
Optional, but you have no choice but to purchase them. Sounds like a government program, or rather, tricks of the automobile industry that are still in use today.

3. Closed Crankcase Invoice Error
Shelby vehicle invoices for GT 350 cars typed in October 1966, mistakenly itemized $4.26 for the closed crankcase emissions system, which they did not have.

4. Fold-down Rear Seat (Sportdeck)
The Fold-down rear seat was optioned on every one of the 3,223 Shelby GT fastbacks produced. This option was not available on the coupe and convertible body styles. On some Vehicle Invoices, we've found this option to have been mistakenly typed two cents less ($53.13) than the $53.15 it should have been.

5. Rallye Stripes
(a/k/a/ Top Stripes, a/k/a/ Le Mans Stripes). No '67 GT is documented (Production Order or Invoice) to have left Shelby American with the rallye stripe option. It is believed that rallye stripes were added by dealers, including Shelby's own Hi-Performance Motors.

6. Limited Slip 3.25 Rear Axle
From the sampling of the paperwork the SRG has collected, the limited slip rear axle has only  been found on retail cars exported to Europe

7. Export Charge
Exported cars were invoiced through the corresponding international FoMoCo entity, e.g. Ford of Canada, Ford of Belgium, etc. Invoices for exported cars show a $50 surcharge.

8. Special Handling Charge
This $100 fee was applied to cars sold through Ford to non-Shelby-franchised dealers (X99 code) on 'Continuation' Invoices.
