On April 5, 1967, Shelby American typed and sent invoice P13289
to FoMoCo's San Jose assembly plant, attempting to recoup the
costs associated with repairing or replacing defective drive
train components. The San Jose plant sent the invoice back to Shelby and instructed SAI to instead remit it to the corporate office in Dearborn. On May 23, 1967, Shelby remitted invoice P14514 to the atten of L. Pounds at the Ford Division-General Accounting Office in Dearborn.
This wasn't the only large invoice issued by Shelby American
in April 1967 ... it's as if a key date associated with a major
