Domestic Special Orders (DSOs) were used to requisition Shelby GT units. 3,224 of the 3,225 serialized Shelby GTs were ordered by DSO. The lone exception is car #0176, the Lime Gold GT 350 advertising car.
Right: DSO 71-2512, 4-pages Sometimes, there were differences between the way the cars were ordered and how they were actually built. These exceptions were rare occurrences, and with the understanding that "the assembly line does not stop," the SRG has identified and explained 69 package exceptions. There were also 340 trim exceptions caused by materials availability and human mistakes at the San Jose assembly plant. The data behind this query was exctracted from copies of the
original microfiche file. Special thanks to Vincent Liska for
providing this valuable data. Acronyms (Column Headings)
