Almost all of these "unknown disposition" cars were either
company cars or Ford sales district demonstrators. Most still
exist today with a known ownership history, however, their
initial disposition from Shelby American (or FoMoCo) is what
remains a mystery.
For example, #0139's ownership can be traced back to the
early 1970s in the Chicago, IL area, however, the dealership
that first sold this company car is unknown. Given the known
history, the dealership was likely located in or around the
Chicago, IL area.
Most of the cars on this list were
company cars and
sales
district demonstrators.
It stands to reason that district demonstrators, when no
longer needed, would have been sold through a dealership in that
district.
